Integration with Zuercher CAD

Integrating Zuercher CAD with PageGate

Send Text and SMS Messages from Zuercher CAD

PageGate can be easily integrated with Zuercher Technologies CAD system. Zuercher's CAD can be configured to output a file when a dispatch needs to be sent and PageGate's GetAscii module can be configured to monitor for those files, then read them in and process them out to your recipients and groups. Here's how:

Note: You will need to create a directory for the integration to reference. If PageGate is installed on the Zuercher CAD server, we recommend creating c:\PageGateData\Ascii\. If PageGate is not installed on the Zuercher CAD server, be sure to share the integration directory on the network so the PageGate and Zuercher CAD systems both have administrative access/control.

1) Open the PageGate Admin.

2) Go to Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings.

3) Set the "Polling Directory" to the integration directory you've created (see above).
Note: If you set the Polling Directory to a shared network (UNC) path, be sure to provide the PageGate GetAscii windows service with the appropriate logon credentials to access the network data.

4) Check Enabled.

5) Click on Apply.
5a) When prompted, you do want this enabled for all existing groups and recipients.

6) Go to Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings - Advanced Polling - Files.

7) Click Add.

8) Specify the following:
Recipient: *
From: CAD
File(s): *.pag
Path: Specify the directory to which Zuercher CAD will output its *.pag files.
File Type: Custom

9) Click Apply, then click Apply again.

10) Go to Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings - Advanced Polling - Record.

11) Specify the following and click Apply:
Start Pattern: *
Start Offset: 0

End Pattern: ~
End Offset: 0

12) Go to Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings - Advanced Polling - Recipient.

13) Select Dynamic Recipient, then specify the following and click Apply:
Start Pattern: *
Start Offset: 0

End Pattern: \013
End Offset: 0

14) Go to Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings - Advanced Polling - Sender.

15) Select Dynamic Sender, then specify the following and click Apply:
Start Pattern: FROM:
Start Offset: 1

End Offset: \013
End Offset: 0

16) Go to Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings - Advanced Polling - Message.

17) Select Dynamic Message, then specify the following and click Apply:
Start Pattern: MSG:
Start Offset: 1

End Pattern:
~
End Offset: 0
