The IBM Virus Certification Division uses PageGate to alert internal and outsourced staff to critical alerts. Due to the nature of viruses, in addition to email notification, critical alerts or viruses deemed high priority are sent via PageGate to cellular phones and pagers. These alerts notify personnel of related risks, precautions and where additional information can be found. The IBM Critical Operations team also uses PageGate to inform employees of scheduled meetings on virus-related situations.
