PageGate can be easily integrated with WaveWare's Alarm Contact Monitoring — it can output to the Alarm Contact Monitoring system using the TAP protocol and can also receive input from the monitoring system using the GetTAP receiver module.
Configure PageGate to Output to WaveWare (TAP)
Open the PageGate Admin.
Go to Connectors — Connector X — Settings. Any connector can be configured to reference a paging terminal.
Set the Serial Port field to match the COM/Serial port the terminal is plugged in to.
Check Direct Connect.
Click Apply.
Right click on
Carriers, left click on
Add. Specify the following:
Name: WaveWare
Protocol: TAP
Baud Rate: Mirror the paging terminal's setting
Parity: Mirror the paging terminal's setting
Data Bits: Mirror the paging terminal's setting
Stop Bits: Mirror the paging terminal's setting
Init String: direct (type this in the field)
Click Apply. Configure recipients to use the WaveWare carrier. Use the pager's cap code or ID in the ID/Pin field.
Configure PageGate to Receive Input from WaveWare (GetTAP)
Open the PageGate Admin.
Go to Interfaces — GetTAP — Settings.
Set the Serial Port field to match the COM/Serial port the terminal is plugged in to.
Specify the following:
Baud Rate: Mirror the paging terminal's setting
Parity: Mirror the paging terminal's setting
Data Bits: Mirror the paging terminal's setting
Stop Bits: Mirror the paging terminal's setting
Init String: direct (type this in the field)
Put a check in Enabled.
Click Apply. When prompted, you do want to enable this for all existing groups and recipients.
