How to Configure Microsoft FAX Server in NotePager Pro Transcript for Video:
Welcome to the video tutorial on how to configure NotePager Pro to send faxes using a Microsoft Fax Server.
To send faxes through a Microsoft Fax Server, you’ll first need to configure it in Windows on the PC running NotePager Pro. Information on configuring Microsoft’s Fax Server can be found on their support site here: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj134193(v=ws.11).aspx
Once you have a Microsoft Fax Server configured on the NotePager Pro system, go to Carriers – Add.
Give the carrier a name, something straightforward like Fax or Faxing.
Specify the protocol: FAXSRV
Click Apply to add the carrier in to the program.
Now we’ll need to create a recipient that tells the program what fax the Microsoft Fax Server should dial. To do that, go to Recipients – Add.
Give the recipient a name, something like SouthFax or NorthOffice.
Set the ‘Carrier’ to your new Microsoft Fax Server carrier.
In the Phone Number field, enter the phone number of the fax machine you want to dial.
When finished, click Apply and the specified fax will now be available to message.
