Using NotePager Pro

Now that you've familiarized yourself with the NotePager Pro interface and its associated buttons, it's time to configure the program to send messages to your people. In order to do that, you're going to need some information.

 

First, what wireless carrier do the devices you want to send to use?

 

For cell phones, a carrier could be Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, US Cellular, etc. The most common delivery protocol supported by cell phone carriers is SMTP. Click here for information on how to configure an SMTP carrier.

 

For pagers, a carrier could be USA Mobility, American Messaging, Skytel, etc. The most common delivery protocol supported by paging carriers is SNPP. Click here for information on how to configure an SNPP carrier.

 

For email addresses, the carrier will be Email. Click here for information on how to configure an Email carrier.

 

Second, what phone numbers or email addresses do you want to send to?

 

Once you have that information, you can use it to create a recipient that's tied to one of the carriers you've created. Click here for information on how to add a recipient.

 

After you have at least one carrier and recipient in the program, you can start sending messages. Click here for information on how to send amessage.
