Integration with HotSOS

PageGate can be easily integrated with HotSOS by using PageGate's SNPP Server to receive SNPP notifications from HotSOS. When you are finished, the SNPP host address HotSOS will reference will be the IP address or machine name of your PageGate server.

Step 1 — Set Up the SNPP Server

  1. Create: c:\PageGateData\SNPP\. Move snppserver.exe, pininfo.txt, snpp.ini from PageGate installation to this folder.
  2. Edit snpp.ini: set OutputFolder=c:\PageGateData\SNPP\ and LogFolder=c:\PageGateData\Logs\. Save.
  3. Edit pininfo.txt to define valid PIN ranges:
    "0000000001","9999999999","PG_Recipient"
  4. Install SNPP as Windows Service: snppserver /install → open Windows Services → set Startup Type to Automatic → Start Service.

Step 2 — Configure GetAscii to Read SNPP Output

  1. Open PG Admin. Go to Interfaces — GetAscii — Settings. Set Polling Directory to c:\PageGateData\SNPP\. Check Enabled. Click Apply.

The SNPP host address HotSOS will reference is the IP address or machine name of your PageGate server.
