Features & Benefits
|
Monitor one Features & Benefits: Features
for monitoring, analyzing and notifying.
Monitoring -
|
The
Monitor one software lets you create
an intuitive, multi-level, hierarchical
and web enabled network topology map
that closely matches your actual network. |
|
Monitor
one can use ICMP or SNMP to check
up/down status for IP enabled devices
and supports downstream alarm suppression
to prevent incorrect and superfluous
alerting. |
|
For SNMP
polling/Real-time monitoring, Monitor
one provides a powerful mechanism
that allows you to define which OIDs
to query, how to process the retrieved
responses and how to display these
values. These "definitions" are stored
into the database for later use. |
|
Collected
SNMP data can be shown in Tables,
Graphs (3D), Pies and Meters. The
Graphs and Meters are highly customizable
(Bar, Area, Line, 3D graphs and old
style VDO. |
|
For health
monitoring, Monitor one allows you
to monitor whatever SNMP agent field
and compare its value with a threshold
value. If a value exceeds a Threshold
value, an event is generated that
can be sent to pagers or cell phones
by using PageGate. |
|
For superior
trending and long term analysis capabilities,
Monitor one can act as a "front end"
for RRD. RRD is the Acronym for Round
Robin Database. |
|
Monitor
one provides a MIB browser and a MIB
compiler and the default (precompiled)
MIB tree contains more than 7000 nodes
from the most frequently used rfc
MIB files. |
|
Monitor
one can send alerts for Status, Threshold,
Trap, Sensitivity and Syslog events.
Monitor one also supports "inverse
alerting". An alert is sent when an
event goes down but also when it comes
up again! Alerts can trigger the following:
Audible signaling, Visual signaling
or signaling via Email/SMS/Pager.
Alerts can also trigger the execution
of a user defined program or script.
In order to prevent superfluous alerting,
the decision whether or not to alert
is determined by the so-called "Alerter".
The alerting scheme is highly customizable
and the decision is based on the priority
level of the device causing the alert
and the event severity. |
|
PageGate Features & Benefits:
PageGate is a network paging/SMS gateway
that sends text messages or numeric
messages to alphanumeric pagers, cellular
phones, PIMs or pager cards. PageGate
uses interfaces to send text messages.
|
Web messaging (intranet
and Internet) |
|
Email notification
and email text messaging |
|
Can run as a system
service |
|
Log of message transmissions |
|
Transmission to single
or mutiple devices or phones |
|
Supports multiple
modems and/or direct connection
to the telecom terminal |
|
Group messaging, pre-programmed
messages, on-call messaging and
scheduled texting |
|
Scanning of a predetermined
file for text messages |
|
Combined Benefit of PageGate
& Monitor one: Receive instant notification
on cell phones and mobile phones when an
alert is triggered. |
