PageGate Monitors NotePager Pro Alerts Setup
Transcript for Video:
Welcome to the tutorial on how to use the PageGate
Monitor's NotePager Pro Alerts.
Before we begin, this integration requires NotePager
Pro to be installed and configured on the same
computer that the PageGate Monitor is running
on. For more information on how to install and
configure NotePager Pro, please watch our NotePager
Pro tutorials on our website, www.notepage.net
The first step is to run the program, so go to
your start menu, go to Programs, find the PageGate
program group, and left click on PageGate Monitor.
Once in the monitor, go to File - Setup.
In the Setup screen, you should see the NotePager
Pro Alerts section.
The first box is NPP Recipient. In this field,
you'll need to enter the name of a recipient or
group in NotePager Pro that you would like these
alerts sent to. This must match the short name
of the recipient or group, not the full name.
Below that are the checkboxes for the alert types
you want to have sent out.
The first option is Start and Stop events. If
this is enabled, the monitor will send a notification
to the recipient or group you've specified whenever
any part of PageGate stops or starts.
The next option is Stalled modules. If this is
enabled, the monitor will send a notification
to the recipient or group you've specified whenever
any part of PageGate stalls or becomes unresponsive.
The next option is Module errors. If this is
enabled, the monitor will send a notification
to the recipient or group you've specified whenever
any part of PageGate receives an error code.
The next option is Failed Messages. If this is
enabled, the monitor will send a notification
to the recipient or group you've specified whenever
any message fails to be delivered.
The next option is Message queue not empty for
X minutes. You can set this for as long or as
short an interval as you please. If this is enabled,
the monitor will send a notification to the recipient
or group you've specified whenever the message
queue does not reach zero for the specified amount
of time.
The next option is No successful messages for
X minutes. You can set this for as long or as
short an interval as you please. If this is enabled,
the monitor will send a notification to the recipient
or group you've specified whenever the processed
messages all fail within the specified amount
of time.
After entering your NotePager Pro recipient or
group and selecting your preferences, left click
on Apply.
This concludes the tutorial on how to use the
