PageGate GetWeb Basic Template Setup Transcript for Video:
Welcome to the GetWeb Web Page Explanation tutorial.

In this tutorial, we'll be going over the different templates for the GetWeb module and their purpose.

By default, the GetWeb module comes with the following templates:

Ad-Hoc, Any User, Basic, GUI List, List, and MultiPage

I'll be splitting these templates into two groups: Those that provide a user list based on a group and those that are tied to a single recipient or group.

The following web page templates are tied to a specific recipient or group and do not generate an available list of recipients to select from:

The Ad-Hoc Template allows you to create a paging website where the user may enter any ID or Email address in the provided field instead of having a static list of recipient to select from. This Email address or ID/phone number does not need to match the name of a recipient in PageGate, it allows the end user to type in the literal information to send to.

The Any User template allows you to create a paging website where the user may enter any recipient name in the To field. The information entered into this field must match the name of a recipient in PageGate and only a single recipient can be messaged at one time.

The MultiPage is exactly like the Any User template, except it MUST be tied to a MultiPage recipient type and allows the end user to enter multiple recipient names in the To field. Fore more information on how to configure a MultiPage recipient, please watch our PageGate Recipient Types tutorial on our website, www.notepage.net

The Basic template allows you to create a paging website that will always send to the specific recipient or group that you've tied the template to. For example, if you tie the template to the Sales group, when someone uses the web page to send a message, those messages will always go to the member list of the Sales group.

The following web page templates should only be used in conjunction with a group as they generate information based on the member list of the group they are tied to.

The List template provides a simple list generated by the member list of the group. A user can highlight one or more recipients to send to.

The GUI List template is an expanded, easier to use template. It generates an available user list based on the members list of the group it is tied to but is a little easier to navigate. The end user selects a recipient, clicks on the arrow to 'select' the recipient or recipients to message, then types in their sender's information, a message, and can send the message to all selected recipients.

This concludes the GetWeb Web Page Explanation tutorial. For more information, including how to configure each template type, please visit our website, www.notepage.net
