Welcome to the video tutorial on how to upgrade
from NotePager Pro version 3 to version 5.
In this tutorial, we'll be going over how to
upgrade your installation of NotePager Pro to
version 5.
The first step is to open a web browser and
go to our homepage, www.notepage.net
Once there, you may need to scroll down a little
to see the NotePager Pro section of the page.
Click on the Download option here under the graphic
and save the installation file.
For easy reference, I'm going to save it to the
desktop.
Once the file has finished downloading, browse
to where you have it saved.
Then right click on the file and select 'Run
as Administrator'.
If the Windows User Accounts Control prompts
you for permission, please allow the process to
continue.
Click on Next to begin the installation.
Select whether you want to view the Read Me file
or the release notes, then click on Next.
Select 'I accept the agreement' and click on
Next.
The upgrade will automatically detect the previous
version's install path, so click on Next.
When asked if you want to install to that folder,
say yes.
Click on Next.
Select whether you want an icon for NotePager
Pro placed on the desktop, then click on Next.
Click on Install. When the installation completes,
click on Finish.
Now that we have version 5 installed, right
click on the shortcut for the program and select
"Run as Administrator".
If the Windows User Accounts Control prompts
you for permission, please allow the process to
continue.
You should then receive a prompt informing you
that the database has been moved to a new directory.
Click on OK.
When prompted for your version 5 registration
key, enter it.
Please note that your version 3 registration
key will not work with version 5 and version 5
must be registered with a version 5 key.
After you've completed the registration, click
on Apply, then close the Registration screen.
