To begin registering on Sprint's EMG, contact your Sprint representative or go to emg.sprint.com.
Port 444 must be open for SNPP. For SMTP failover you will need your SMTP server address, port, and credentials.
Step 1 — Configure Sprint-PRIMARY (SNPP)
Run PG Admin. Right click Carriers, select Add.
Specify the following:
Carrier: Sprint-PRIMARY
Protocol: SNPP
Host: snpp.messaging.sprint.com
Port: 444
Max Chars: 160
Click Apply.
Step 2 — Configure Sprint-FINAL (SMTP Failover)
Right click
Carriers, select
Add. Specify the following:
Carrier: Sprint-FINAL
Protocol: SMTP
Host: messaging.sprintpcs.com
Port: [Port required by your SMTP server]
Max Chars: 160
Go to Carriers — Sprint-FINAL — Advanced. Select Deliver through outgoing mail server, enter relay server address, username, password. Click Apply.
Go to
Carriers — Sprint-FINAL — Template. In Settings enter:
From = [username]
EXAMPLE: From = CAD@notepage.com
Click Apply.
Step 3 — Configure Failover
Go to Carriers — Sprint-PRIMARY — Advanced. Set Failover to: Sprint-FINAL. Click Apply.
Step 4 — Create Recipients
Right click Recipients, select Add.
Specify the following:
Full Name: [Recipient name]
Type: Normal
Carrier: Sprint-PRIMARY
ID/PIN: 10-digit cell phone number (e.g. 7818290500)
Max Chars: 160
Click Apply.
