Integration with SolarWinds SAM

PageGate integrates with SolarWinds SAM using the GetAscii module. If PageGate is on the SolarWinds server, use the built-in 'Dial Page or SMS' trigger. If on a separate server, use the "Execute an external program" trigger with the sendpage32.exe command line tool.

Step 1 — Configure the GetAscii Module

Create an integration directory (recommended: c:PageGateDataAscii).
Open the PageGate Admin. Go to Interfaces — GetAscii — Settings.
Set the Polling Directory to the integration folder. Check Enabled. Click Apply. When prompted, enable for all existing groups and recipients.

Step 2 — Configure SolarWinds SAM Trigger Action

In the Execute an external program action, call PageGate using:

<Integration Directory>sendpage32.exe <recipient> <sender> <message with Orion variables>

Example: \SAMServerIntegrationsendpage32.exe ITDept Orion "Server <hostname> is at <CPU Time>"
