Most cell phone carriers have enterprise messaging platforms that you could route your SMS through and these gateways can be incredibly fast and reliable. These platforms also typically provide multiple APIs, allowing PageGate to use all of them in a failover capacity to give you extra layers of redundancy.
Access to these gateways is negotiated with each carrier and special rules apply to PSAPs and dispatch centers in the US, usually granting them free access to these platforms or the public safety equivalents.
