Configuring T-Mobile's Enterprise Messaging |

Before a T-Mobile user can receive messages through the T-Mobile Enterprise system, they must enable the Enterprise Messaging feature within the T-Life app on their phone.
Special Notes for the PageGate Setup: The best gateways T-Mobile has are not publicly available and you must be given access to them. Please contact T-Mobile sales and ask about the T-Mobile Enterprise/Business messaging SNPP and WCTP gateways for SMS delivery.
The following steps are for a 'best practice' configuration where you have access to these gateways. If you have not been granted access to the T-Mobile SNPP gateway, skip to "Step 2" and name the carrier T-Mobile instead of T-Mobile-Backup.
Step 1: Configure T-Mobile-1st as a delivery method 1)Run PG Admin. 2)Right click Carriers, select Add 3)Specify the following: Carrier: T-Mobile-1st 1)Click Apply
Step 2: Configure T-Mobile-Backup as a delivery method 1)Right click Carriers, select Add 2)Specify the following: Carrier: T-Mobile-Backup Protocol: SMTP Carrier Domain: tmobiz.com Port: Specify the port required by your SMTP server. Max Chars: 1000 3)Go to Carriers - T-Mobile-Final - Advanced 4)Select the 'Deliver through outgoing mail server' option and enter your SMTP server address in the 'Relay Server' field. For example, if you use Office365, you might use smtp.office365.com as the relay server address. 5)Specify the username and password, if required. 6)Click Apply 7)Go to Carriers - T-Mobile-Final - Template 8)Specify the following in the 'Settings' section: From = The value from the username field EXAMPLE: From = CAD@notepage.com 9)Click Apply. NOTE: If OAUTH is required, please go through the Configuring OAUTH steps as well.
Step 4: Configure the failover system 1)Go to Carriers - T-Mobile-1st - Advanced 2)Click the dropdown arrow next to 'Failover' and select: T-Mobile-Backup 3)Click Apply
Step 4: Create Recipients tied to the T-Mobile carrier 1) Right click Recipients, select Add. 2)Specify the following: Full Name: The name of the recipient Recipient: This field will automatically populate but can be edited and may ONLY contain alphanumeric characters, underscores and dashes.
Type: Normal Carrier: T-Mobile-1st Failover: See Failover Scenarios ID/PIN: 10 digit cell phone number
Max Chars: Specify the number of characters you want the ability to send to this recipient. If this value is higher than the carrier's "Max Chars" value, PageGate will break up long messages in to multiple blocks. 3)Click Apply. |
