Remote Monitoring System Text Message Flow Sample #1 Remote Monitoring Software triggers an event due to an anomaly that is detected. The event can be passed to PageGate any variety of ways, possibly by posting to a webpage. PageGate's web API picks up the message and uses the PageGate Filter Script to look for keywords and/or reformats the message based on the defined PageGate Filter Script parameters. PageGate then does any one or combination of the following options including: passes the text message to a messaging aggregator, sends a fax, sends email, updates the Web API, sends text or SMS to cell phone or pager, updates a chat client, sends the message to cellular hardware, executes a batch file or runs a script, initiates a GET/POST to the web, updates the remote monitoring software or sends message to an enterprise messaging solution.

A reply is generated in the XMPP chat client. The PageGate Filter Script evaluates the reply message and looks for keywords and/or reformats the message based on the defined PageGate Filter Script parameters. PageGate initiates a GET/POST to the web, updates the remote monitoring software or sends message to an enterprise messaging solution.
