When sending to PageOne in the UK we are noticing a message stating "pager message sent but message shortened" the pager recieves an incomplete message We have checked setting etc which seem to be ok We also use Vodafone paging and text to Vodafone and to O2 mobiles without any problems. Is there something that we may have missed or is it just a PageOne problem.
Even taking into account time and date stamps all messages that we send are well within maxim message lengths.

The Carrier may only be allowing a certain number of characters per message (80, 120, 130, 160, 180, 230). You can ask your Carrier what is the allowed maximum character count per message.
Or, count the number of characters displayed in an "incomplete" message. Then, in the Carrier's "Settings", set the "Max Characters" to that amount. Send a test message.
You may need to adjust the "Max Characters" several times, in order to reach the correct value.

That is an "odd" solution but, we are glad to hear it is working!
