it did it first thing this morning, so I waited a while then it worked ok, now it is doing this again,
any ideas?

Looks like yout IT depertment is making mailserver changes - could be due to A/V updates. Try using a relay server_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

Is your internet connection Verizon DSL by any chance? I have seen those symptome before with that configuration_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

it is a private company but basically they resell verizon DSL, I just sent out a bit ago to 38 people....and 8 of them failed, is there a fix for the verizon dsl thing or is it just a crap shoot?.....
.also...I know this is going to come up, I have some guys who are altel and now verizon wireless is buying them, will the altel settings stay the same ot too early to tell?

38 recipients? I bet it took a while. You really should consider PageGate - that is the system we have installed for numerous Public safety agencies nationwide. For Verizon (vtext.com) - you'd be better off using TAP in place of SMTP - it is FAR more reliable. Regarding the AllTel merger - there will be no changes for the forseeable future_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

what all would I need for page gate and what are costs involved?
uuummmm there may be changes, the interesting thing is I juust looked....all the verizon messages went fine,,,,,it was the ALTEL ones that all failed

I ran into this exact same problem today, all messages would fail, could not figure it out, SO.....
I ran the connection wizard just to make sure all the settings were still the same as normal. And they were, after that it worked and sent fine I made NO changes in the setup wizard at all.
is this some sort of issue with notepage pro?

No - it is an issue with your ISP considering your messages as POTENTIAL spam. That is one of the many reasons why you should NOT rely on SMTP (email) for critical message delivery. You should consider upgrading to PageGate and adding a cellular modem to get around the SMTP limitations_________________ Aaron D. Osgood
