Alfa File Monitor with PageGate
How
to Integrate
By using the PageGate application, Alfa File Monitor
can be used to send pager messages, on certain file
events. This is done by using the sendpage.exe as the
program to run on a certain file event.
1. Choose Run Program as the event to fire,
2. In the Add Notification Events Window, and
in the P rogram field, type "C:\Program Files\PageGate\SendPage.exe

3. If PageGate is not installed in C:\Program
Files\PageGate, replace it with the correct path

Settings
GetAscii
(Commandline/Ascii) Settings
PageGate's GetAscii (Commandline/Ascii) interface must
be enabled for the integration of PageGate and Alfa
File Monitor.
1. Run PageGate's Administration program (PG
Admin)
2. Double-click on the 'Interfaces' object.
3. Double-click on the 'GetAscii' object.
4. Click on the 'Settings' object.
5. Type in a path for PageGate to use as a polling
directory for this interface (or hit the '...' button
to browse to an existing folder).
6. Check the 'Enabled' checkbox.
7. Click the 'Apply' button. Recipient/Group
Settings
PageGate
recipients and groups must have the Ascii service enabled
in order to receive messages from Alfa File Monitor
1. Add a new or edit an existing PageGate recipient
or group.
2. On the recipient's or group's settings screen,
check the 'Ascii' checkbox in the 'Enabled Services'
section.
3. Click the 'Apply' button. GUI Client Settings
