What is New in PageGate?

The following are simply the highlights of what is newly available in PageGate Version 11. Additional items have been incorporated as well.

Speed and Efficiency Improvements
More data caching, improved database indexes, and reduced database network bandwith (especially when using an SQL database), means significant database performance improvements, while also lowering CPU and network usage.

SQL Database Module Option
Speed and efficiency improvements:

More data caching, improved database indexes, and reduced database network bandwith (especially when using an SQL database), means significant database performance improvements, while also lowering CPU and network usage.

Improved support for Azure and other cloud-based SQL servers:
The Azure SQL solutions have some different default behaviors than 'normal' corporate SQL installations. PageGate now better supports these differences.

Improved Global Performance
Major work has been done to the core of PageGate for version 11, drastically improving its efficiency and usage of resources, like memory, CPU, and data access. The result is a noticeable increase in its operational speed.

Support for T-Mobile's non-standard WCTP implementation

Support for the AT+QCMGS command available in Quectel chipset devices (i.e. MultiTech):

This allows for GSM messages to be stitched together so it is received as one long text message, avoiding the typical 160 character limit.

Memberships object added in PageGate Admin to Groups:
This allows administrators to see what other Groups an existing Group belongs to.

Email Processing

TLS support for inbound SMTP (email) connections:
The PageGate Mail Server module now supports TSL and STARTTLS encrypted connections for inbound SMTP (email) messages. Using port 465 defaults to TLS and using port 587 defaults to STARTTLS. The Mail Server module will default to using a self-signed certificate, but 'real' certificates can be used too.

More streamlined support for OAUTH SMTP authentication for both the GetMail module and Carrier setup:
The O365 OAUTH utility is now better integrated into the PageGate Admin program. OAUTH setting for the Mail Server module can now be configured using the GetAscii template - no longer needing to setup registry settings.

Email attachment support:
Attachments can now be added to outbound messges when using SMTP (email) for delivery.

GUI / Windows Client Enhancements
Improvements to the PageGate GUI Client:

Speed improvements for SQL databases
Mouse wheel support
Large font option uses a more visible font
The History Log window can now stay open at all times

PageGate's GUI Client now supports receiving messages and sending replies to those messages.

This allows users to reply back to messages that are received. Messages can also be moved to other users of the PageGate GUI Client, allowing replies to be handled by the person best suited to do so. New messages can also be created by users of the PageGate GUI Client, and sent to other GUI Client users, simulating a chat style conversation.

Filter Pack Option

The optional Filter Pack has a number if added capabilities and improvements, allowing for even more flexibility and support for nearly any data format. This expands on PageGate's abily to accept, reformat, and send just about any textual data format. It is especially useful when interacting with internet and intranet APIs.
