WCTP - Wireless Communication Transfer Protocol

PageGate Supports Sending Text Messages Using the WCTP

WCTP or the Wireless Communication Transfer Protocol s a standard message delivery protocol used for sending a text message via the Internet to a wireless or telecom provider (both HTTP and HTTPS are supported).

WCTP was specifically designed for text messaging through the Internet and the protocol is very reliable. Only some telecom providers support WCTP, the first step to sending a message using WCTP is to determine if the telecom provider that you are sending to supports WCTP.

In order to send a text message to carriers who support WCPP, two pieces of information are required. The first required piece of information is the WCTP gateway/format of the telecom provider that the wireless devices is associated with. The second required piece of information is mobile phone number you wish to send the message to.
