TAC10 CAD Integration

Steps to Use TAC10 CAD with PageGate

Send Text and SMS Messages from TAC10 CAD
PageGate can be easily integrated with TAC10 CAD systems by using PageGate's GetAscii interface and filtering system to process XML files created by the CAD system when dispatches are sent. Here's how!

Step 1: Configure the basics for GetAscii

1) Create the folder c:\PageGateData\ASCII\
Note: This folder doesn't have to reside on the C: drive and can reside on any drive local to the PageGate server; the above is just a default recommendation.

2) Open the PageGate Admin.

3) Go to Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings.

4) Set the "Polling Directory" to the directory you created in step 1.

5) Check Enabled.

6) Click on Apply.
6a) When prompted, you do want this enabled for all existing groups and recipients.

7) Go to Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings - Advanced Polling - Files

8) Click Add

9)
Specify the following and click Apply:
Recipient: *
From: CAD
File(s): *.XML
File Type: Standard

10) Click Apply again.

Step 2:
Work with NotePage Support to configure the PageGate Filtering System

A key component of this implementation is understanding what you want done with the data CAD outputs.

Do you want every notification or call type to go to every district?
Should only certain agencies receive messages?
Should only certain units receive messages?
Should certain addresses trigger additional resources and alerts above and beyond what CAD has called on?

PageGate's filtering system allows you to control and filter any part of the CAD data stream and we're happy to help you meet your dispatching needs!
