Bandwidth Integration

Steps to Use Bandwidth with PageGate

Send Text and SMS Messages from Bandwidth
PageGate can be easily configured to use Bandwidth for SMS messaging. Here's what you'll want to do:

First, you'll need to sign up for a Bandwidth account (https://www.bandwidth.com/). Upon registering, you'll receive your Bandwidth phone number, your account ID, token and password. Once you have these:

1) Open PG Admin.

2) Right click Carriers, select 'Add'.

3) You can name the carrier whatever you like but we recommend using something straightforwared, like: Bandwidth

4) Set the following:
Protocol: HTTPOST
Host: messaging.bandwidth.com/api/v2/users/{accountId}/messages
Port: 443
Max Chars: 160

5) Click Apply.

6) Go to Carrier - Bandwidth - Template

7) In the 'Text' section, specify the following:

|from|Your Bandwidth Phone Number in International Format|
|to|%Pin%|
|text|%Message%|

For example:
|from|+17818290500|
|to|%Pin%|
|text|%Message%|

8) Click Apply.

9) Go to Carrier - Bandwidth - Advanced.

10) In the Username field, enter your Bandwidth Token ID. This can be found in the Account tab of the Bandwidth page.

11) In the Password field, enter your Bandwidth account password.

12) Click Apply.

Now that PageGate know how to interact with Bandwidth, all you have to do is tie recipients to this method of delivery:

1) Right click Recipients, select 'Add'.

2) Give the recipient a name. The 'Recipient' field should auto-fill.

3) Set the Carrier to: Bandwidth

4) In the ID/PIN field, enter the cell phone number in international format. Example: +17818290500

5) Click Apply.
