White Paper: The IBM Virus Certification Division uses PageGate to alert internal and outscourced staff to critical alerts. Due to the nature of viruses, in addition to e-mail notification, critical alerts or viruses deemed a high priority are sent out via PageGate to cellular phones and pagers. These alerts notify personnel of the related risks, precautions and where additional information can be found.
The IBM Critical Operations team also utilizes PageGate, to inform employees of scheduled meetings on virus related situations
