Understanding that PageGate does maintenance at midnight during which everything pauses, is there a way to get around the mail interface pausing if a message is also sent at midnight? For example, we have a server that sends a heartbeat message at midnight exactly. According to the mail server logs the first message (at midnight) is rejected by PageGate. Any work-arounds?

No, there isn't a way to stop the GetMail module from stopping with the midnight cleanup routine. It's hard coded to do it but it also shouldn't reject any messages either. What version of PageGate are you using?

Do you see the rejection happening in the GetMail logs? If so, what does the rejection look like and how is it worded?

I do not see a rejection in the log. The rejection that I've been informed of is in our mail server. It fails at midnight, then is successful about an hour later (the retry interval in the mail server, apparently.)

Hmm... I suppose if something tried to send in a message precisely at 00:00:00 that PageGate's MailServer Service would be offline and thus the message wouldn't go through and that would cause what you're running into. Can you have that automated message rescheduled to go out at 00:00:30? All we need is a few seconds to go through the cleanup routine.
