notepager 32 does not recognize my modem but my modem will dial out in other applications

Have you tried the steps listed on our Technical Support FAQ web page (under "NotePager 32/ NotePager Pro cannot detect my modem.")?

The usual cause of NotePager32's inability to detect the modem is that it (the modem) is controlled by another application.
