Anyone have WCTP info for Arch / USA Mobility?
I got a new laptop but don't seem to have made notes for setting up internet paging.
I've plugged in the settings that I thought worked as found on the wctp.htm page as shown below.
wctp.wirelesscontrol.net/wctp
wctp.arch.com/wctp

Those are the correct WCTP addresses for Arch/USA Mobility. Are you getting an "Invalid Response From Host" error?

Ah, that being the case, you'll want to update your copy of NotePager Pro to the latest build of the program. There used to be an issue with some WCTP hosts because they'd implemented an updated a newer version of the WCTP protocol and our program didn't have the newer commands. This is fixed in the latest build of NotePager Pro.
All you should have to do is go our website, http://www.notepage.net/ , and click on the Download graphic under the NotePager Pro section in the center of the screen.
After you've downloaded the updated installation, make sure you're NOT running NotePager Pro at the time, then run the installation. It should update the program and solve the problem.

Or was this WCTP issue limited to Pro?

I take that back. I see upon startup that the app identifies itself as NotePager Pro version 3.0.
I will install Pro and see what happens.
Thanks again,

The trouble you're running into is that you're using the SMTP suffix for the WCTP host. If you'll make sure your recipient's ID/PIN is just the 10 digit pager number instead of the 10 digit number at archwireless.net it should go through just fine.

I tried using the 10 digit number and got similar results.

Jester,
Are you behind a proxy server? Now that I really look at it, the response you're getting:

Isn't from the Arch WCTP host, it's from something else.

Also double check the pager number - your log shows an 888# - Arch's toll free numbers are actually C/F to a local DID# for the pager. Once you obtain the correct "local" pager number - try that as the ID_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

Protocol: WCTP

The TAP settings work fine.
This site was apparently down yesterday but this issue predates that condition.
