It's also giving an 'authentication required' in other messages.

Looks like you're not using a valid ID:

"10/11/2008 5:13:04 AM FAILED Stn:0 To:02817023228 Msg:test"

02817023228 is not a valid #

We've got multiple variations of recipient names, all which were working fine prior to the restart.

Actually, let's see what happens when you do this manual test:

1) In Windows, go to Start - Run.

2) In the Run line, type in the following and click OK: command

3) In the command prompt, type the following and hit enter:

telnet mx01.bis.na.blackberry.com 25

Let us know what happens when you do that.

Hello all,

Sorry to drag up an old post but it was the most recent that I could find to indicate the issue that I was experiencing.

Please note that I'm using Windows Vista and 'TELNET' is not a supported command.

This error (shown by the OP was received when attempted to send to different hosts including):
- @rogers.blackberry.net
- @telus.blackberry.net
- @rsar.ca

I should also note that I'm using "NotePager Pro" but am receiving the same error as above which is why I resurrected this post.

Thanks,

Here is how to enable telnet in Vista, which should help you troubleshoot the problem:

1. Open the Programs and Features Control Panel applet (Start, Control Panel, Programs and Features).
2. Select "Turn Windows features on or off."
3. Select the Telnet Client option and click OK.
4. A dialog box appears, confirming the installation of new features. After installation is complete, close the main Programs and Features Control Panel applet. The telnet command should now be available.
