I have Pagegate v4 and NotePager v3. With each page sent to the recipient, an email should be sent as well since that’s how we set it up. I am having problem from a particular group of users sending the emails across; the pages are sent fine. What is preventing the email delivery?

Pam

Is port 25 open on your network?

That's what I was thinking (SMTP port) but not sure how to check the port status by individual server.

On the PageGate server:

1) In Windows, go to Start - Run.

2) In the run menu, type the following and click on OK: command

3) In the command prompt, type the following and hit enter: telnet notepage.com 25

After you hit enter, if it comes back with a 220 response, that means port 25 is open and that a program (antivirus/firewall) is preventing NotePager Pro from using it. If it says it couldn't establish a connection to the host over port 25, that means that either your ISP or local network admin has blocked the port and you must use an internal mail server for SMTP delivery
