1) Did anything change on your network/firewall?
2) Can you telnet to pecos.nextel.com 444 successfully?
3) Have you tried a test message to one of the suspect devices via TAP?_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

If telnetting failed - I'd be willing to bet that something changed in your network and port 444 is no longer open_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

I am in Texas and also having the same problem. It is probably not your network but a problem with Nextel. Also, just FYI, the pecos.nextel.com is no longer in service. You should be using snpp.nextel.com or msnsnpp.nextel.com.

Actually, it appears that none of Nextel's SNPP hosts are currently functioning. I can't telnet to any of them and get a proper response. It appears that Nextel is having some issues.

I just initiated a trouble ticket with Sprint/NexTel's engineering
I suspect the issue is related to their system modifications being made in preperation for the upcoming addition of the Sprint CDMA system to the SNPP platform. I'll post when I get more detail_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

Oz - email me any updates as you have them, I'm getting swamped with trouble tickets for Nextel.
