I switched over to a Diva Server 8P card by Eicon and do not know how to configure this device to work with page gate. Can anyone gice me some pointers on this device? Thanks for your help.

From what I've read about the card, it looks like it's simply a multi-port modem card. Since that's the case, each port on the modem will be assigned a different COM port in Windows.

Once you know the COM port(s) assigned to the actual dialing port(s), all yo ushould have to do is go into the Connectors section, then go to the Settings of each Dialer you want to configure to use one of the ports.

In the Dialer Settings, set the Serial Port to match whichever COM port of the modem you want that dialer to use.

If you go into the PageGate Admin and go to the Connectors - Connector 1 - Settings section, is Direct Connect checked? If so, uncheck it, then try it.

What do you have the baud rate, date bits, parity, and stop bits set to for the carrier?

Also, does the phone line you have plugged into the modem have a required dialing prefix?

parity Even
data bits 7
stop bits 1
no prefix needed.

As odd as it may sound, try 1200 and resetting the init string to (auto)

The system is dialing in, it's just not able to negotiate the connection with the receiving TAP Terminal, so it disconnects. It should just be a matter of finding the right baud rate, data bits, parity, stop bits, and init string.
