Are there any known issues or specific procedures required in using PageGate with a VoIP provider such as Vonage or Skype? We have not installed PageGate to use a VoIP provider as of yet, but would like to know in advance of anything we should know.

It entirely depends on how you mean the question. Pagegate can use a VOIP phone line just as well as it can use a regular phone line if you're sending out messages via the TAP protocol. Now, if you mean delivering messages to a Skype or Vonage device specifically, I'm not sure that's been tried before. If those devices have an email address, PageGate can certainly contact them. |

Thanks. No, not a device specifically, just using the phone line jack on a VoIP provider's equipment. I have heard that sometimes there are issues with the way the VoIP providers handle connections from modems, although I don't have any specific examples. I just wanted to know if there are any specific problems you've experienced or had reported - if any - and could help me avoid those.
