We are using PageGate 4.x and our employees only use the GetWeb interface to send out pages. I know that they would need to be able to contact the server on port 80. What other ports would they need opened for the program to work?
I would like for them to be able to use page monitor as well, but no administration.
Thanks.

The PageGate monitor can be run on up to 3 workstations but no more than 3. To run the PageGate monitor on a workstation, install the program and locate the IP address for that system.

Then go to the PageGate Admin on the Server and go to Logging - Settings. Set that system's IP address in Monitor Host 1, 2, or 3.

The workstations that use the GetWeb interface to send messages don't need any specific port (other than 80, since that's the inter and intranet port) opened. It's the PageGate Server tha may need specific ports opened, depending on what protocols you've set the carriers to use.

Thanks, but what I need to know is after I set up a system to be a port monitor host; is there is a specific port that needs to be opened that the page monitor program communicates on. My server and clients are on different networks and traffic must go through a firewall.

The default PageGate Monitor Port is TCP 10101, but can be changed via the Admin program under Logging -> Settings -> PG Monitor Port
