OK, that didn't give the level of detail I was hoping for. Can you do this to increase the level of logging for me:
1. Create a new file in the PageGate program folder named 'modem.dbg'. Make sure it doesn't have any additional file extensions on the end of it. The contents of the file doesn't matter. It just has to exist.
2. Stop PageGate
3. Start PageGate
4. Send another test message
5. You should see more details in the log. If so, please post them.
Thanks.

I made the 'modem.dbg' file like you said.
I restarted Pagegate service on the server, and sent a test page. And it worked?

Well, good... I think.
That isn't exactly what I was shooting for though ?!?
Perhaps it is an intermittant thing. I suppose you could try removing the modem.dbg file, and restart PageGate, and then put it back again and restart and see if that is truely the pattern.
I was kind of suspecting that Consolidated wasn't liking the sender address you were using in the messages, but wouldn't be able to tell without the detailed log.
I guess at this point, you can just keep us posted if you start to have problems again.

I took out the 'modem.dbg' file. Stopped and restarted the pagegate service.
I sent my self a test page, and it's not working again.

All I can think if is that their server is slow and can't keep up with the rate we are sending them the data (shouldn't be possible with TCP/IP, but perhaps it is a badly implemented SNPP server). The extra logging may just be slowing things down enough to make it work.
Do you mind if I try sending a couple of test to the 4121234 pager to see if I can duplicate the behavior?

I put the 'modem.dbg' file back in. Restarted the Pagegate Service. Sent myself another test page, and it's working again.

I just wanted to try to reproduce the behavior here where I can potentially trace the code while it sends.
Is there a pager ID I can send some test to without bothering someone too much? You can email it to support@notepage.com if you don't want it posted in the forum.
