I installed notepager32 in this computer and I am having problems with it communicating with the modem(Intel 537EP V9x DF PCI Modem). I let it create its own init string, but I am unsuccesful in getting it to work. I know all my other settings are right because it works in other computers I have installed it on. I have no knowledge in setting up init strings manually. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The issue you're having is actually specifically with the modem. Over the last year or so, I've tried to get ANY Intel 500 series modem to connect to ANY TAP Terminal in the US and Canada and have never once gotten it to work. Here's the problem:

The Intel 500 series of modems (of which the 537EP is a member) are called WinModems. They're called WinModems because they're missing a series of control chips on the physical modem and, instead, rely on Windows for that series of controls. Unfortunately, due to the touchy nature of TAP Terminals, this doesn't always work. Specifically, in this case, it never really works.

The only real options you have are to either switch to an online based method of message delivery or replace the current modem with a non-WinModem.
