How can we decide which dialer should be used to send a message to the Pager Carrier or to the SMS-Carrier.
We have different Carriers for SMS and for Pager here in Switzerland and therefor different access-numbers

Actually, it doesn't really matter which dialer you use to send which type of message. Both dialing modules function the exact same way and will handle messages as they come in and in the order they come in. If you only have two carriers, you could specify the SMS Carrier as the Dedicated Carrier for Dailer1 and the Pager Carrier as the Dedicated Carrier for Dialer2 but it sounds like you're dealing with more than just two carriers.

Think of the term "dialer" as simply a connection to the outside world. PageGate can run up to 16 simultaneous connections out_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

How does the dialer know which number it has to dial in which case?

The dialer knows which number it has to dial based on which carrier is sending it requests. Here's how it works:
1) You set up a Carrier in PageGate. That Carrier has all of the connection settings (phone number, data bits, stop bits, parity, host, etc) required to send messages to that carrier.
2) You set up a recipient in PageGate that uses one of the Carriers you've set up. The Recipient's information contains everything needed to tell the Carrier WHO to send the message to specifically.
After you set up the carrier, then the recipient, you can start sending out pages. The page is given to the dialer, the dialer looks at the carrier information to know what to do.
