How do you know???

I use Sprint PCS... so if I were to send a page to me, it is xxxxxxxxxx@messaging.sprintpcs.com... easy enough.

Though, what do I do when I don't know the carrier of the person I want to send a text message to?

You need to know the recipient's Carrier to use NotePager Pro.

That blows... are there any programs out there that you don't need to know who has wh/ carrier? How is it that the cell phone providers are able to do it?? etc, etc, etc.

Sure - there are websites that allow you to sent one message at a time to a recipient by knowing only their phone number. AOL Instant Messenger will also allow this. ANother option is to buy a CLass 5 switch (Nortel DMS 100, 250, or 500 or Lucent 5AESS - only about 1.5 million though!)
