Look at 'Interfaces' - 'GetAscii' - 'Settings' - "Polling Directory".

The "good", "bad" and "process" will be sub-directories of the "Polling Directory".

Did you manually send a message containing an "underscore"? What was the result?

UPDATE

Customer stopped the PageGate Dialer (to eliminate PageGate) then sent a message manually, using using Hyperterminal and the directions below. The underscore character was still not being sent correctly.

1) Start with CAPs lock ON!

2) Start Hyperterminal (Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Communications -> Hyperterminal)
Give the session a name (like 'test')

3) The next screen will as for a phone number to dial. Skip down to the third field that is labeled 'Connect Using', and choose 'COM1'.

4) Set the Baud to 9600, Parity to None, Data bits to 8, Stop bits to 1 (flow control doesn't matter).

5) Type AT<CR>
You should receive a reply back from the GSM modem:

OK

6) Type AT+CMGS=?<CR> (the <CR> is the Enter key on your keyboard).
You should receive:

OK

7) Type AT+CMGS="XXXXXX"<CR> (replace X's with recipient ID/Pin)
You should receive:

a blank line and/or a "Greater Than" symbol ">"

8) Type test_test<CTRL>Z
You should receive:

+CMGS: ### (the ### will be a three digit number)
OK
