I have three computers that all use NotePager Pro and am having problems insuring they all have the same group and group member file. I update one computer, then export the group.txt to a shared directory. When I import it at the second computer, the groups are not the same and don't have the same memberships. Same for the member.txt file. Group members are not the same as in the exported file.

Any help or suggestions? It is very time-consuming to keep typing in the same info on three computers every week.

Have you considered ugrading to PageGate? This package was designed to allow multiple PC's to use the same database

Are you sure you are importing the correct file? If the new/modified data is not being imported into the other copies of NotePager Pro, the import file that you are using is not the "exported" file from "Computer A".

We suggest that you do the following:

1.) Make changes & additions to one copy of NotePager Pro ("Computer A").

2.) Export ('File' - 'Export' - 'To Text File') the Recipient file (NotePager Pro by default writes the export files to C:\Program Files\NotePager Pro).

3.) Open the exported file ("recip.txt") and verify the new (correct) information is contained within.

4.) Copy the exported file to the shared directory.

5.) Open NotePager Pro on another Computer ("Computer B").

6.) Import the Recipient text file ("recip.txt"). Ensure that you are importing the file from the shared directory and not a "local" copy in the default NotePager Pro installation directory.

7.) After importing, verify that the newly imported information is present.

8.) Follow steps 2 through 7 to export/import Groups ("groups.txt") and Group Members ("members.txt").
