Can someone help on this? I am trying to send txt message to my Verizon cell phone using TAP. Other settings are as below.
phone numer 918668230501 (I have to use 9 to dial out)
Baud rate 1200

In your log, the "init string" is "AT&FQ0V1X4&D2".
Did NotePager Pro auto-detect that?
I would set the init string back to "auto". Also, set the "Retries" to "0" under 'Tools' - 'Settings' - 'Modem'.
Send another test message. If the message does not go through, post the section of the log from that attempt.

I had implemented it with Auto and then it selected the string itself. Anyway I changed the int string to auto again and set redial to 0.

NotePager Pro is auto detecting 300 baud rate Initialization Strings.
Please set the Baud Rate to "2400" and retry the auto detection.
What string is detected at 2400?
You do not need to post the entire connection attempt.

Just realized that my previous posting went as guest. So adding again using my ID.
It finds init string AT&FQ0V1X4&D2 for both 1200 and 2400 Buad. But it connects only at 300 Baud.
Do I need to change something on my modem?

At last I had success on making this work. The modem which I was using was paradyne (6-7 year old) which works fine with Cisco routers. But it may have some settings which may not work fine with this program. So I changed it with a newer US robotics external fax modem and worked on first attempt.
