Connecting to Verizon Cellphones

I am using a trial version of your Notepager Pro. I can't seem to send any next messages to my cellphone, using my computer, and if I can't to my own, then I am assuming I can't to others using the same carrier?......My carrier is Verizon. I can receive text messages on it, so shouldn't I also be able to use your software to send a text message to my cell?...... Please explain what limitations Verizon puts on their PCS?[/u][/i][/b]

You should use TAP or SMTP to send messages to Verizon.

Try the Carrier settings below.

FOR TAP:

The Verizon TAP number is 1-866-823-0501
1200 Baud
7 Data Bits
Even Parity
1 Stop Bit.
Auto in the "Init string"

Use 10 digit phone number (2223334444) for the Verizon recipients ID/Pin.

FOR SMTP as the Carrier's protocol, please follow the directions found in this post:

You will need to use the "10digitnumber@vtext.com" for the recipient's "Email To" field.

I just tried sending a text message to my Verizon Cellphone, using SMTP protocol, and still nothing. I tried this earlier today with no luck either. Do you have any other thoughts on this? I am using my computer to send out all of my messages. I do not have a phone connected to it. I have DSL.

If so, please post a copy of a connection attempt from your Dialer Log (npp.log). Please remember to "X" out a portion of the cell phone number.

Oops.... problem solved... I could make up any number of excuses here, but the sad fact is, I was using my normal email address for the domain, instead of the actual domain. :)
