When and where do you see this error?
Also, PageGate should be compatible with Windows 10. What issues did you experience with that operating system? |

Right but which part of the program? Do you receive that error when trying to run the PageGate Admin or do you see that error in the logs after you try to start the PageGate Server? |

Since the error you're running in to isn't one that PageGate is generating, I did a bit of digging on the error "System Error Code 5. Access is denied". It seems that the error is a user profile access issue and can happen even if the user you're logged in to Windows with is part of the administrators group.
The first thing we'll need to try is turning off the Windows User Accounts Control:
1) In Windows, open the Control Panel.
2) In the View by dropdown, select Small icons.
3) Click User Accounts
4) Click Change User Account Control Settings.
5) Move the slider down to Never notify.
6) Click OK
7) Reboot when asked.
After the system comes back up, please right click on the installation and use the "Run as Administrator" option to launch it and let us know if you still receive the "Error 5". |

PageGate can run in either Application or Service mode but I would recommend running PageGate as a Windows Service. Here's how:
1) Right click on the shortcut for the PG Admin, left click on 'Run as Administrator'
2) Go to Program - Settings.
3) In the 'Run PageGate As' section, select: Windows Service
4) Click on Apply.
5) When prompted for credentials, leave them blank and click on Apply again.
6) After the 'Switching Run Styles' dialogue has disappeared, open the Windows Service list.
7) Start the PageGate service. |

The program is compatible with Windows 10, so you can upgrade as you please. If you do run in to any errors after the upgrade, you may need to reinstall the program so it can re-associate with certain elements of the operating system. |
