| I set up the notepager 32 and in the top right corner it says engine not running, what could the problem be?

The message "Engine Not Running" usually means that you are running the main NotePager 32 executable "NotePager.exe", but it cannot find and start the file "NPRDial.exe" (the Engine), which is responsible for accessing the modem and delivering the message.
If you are running the program by clicking on a shortcut, it should point to the "NotePager.exe" file in the folder "C:\Program Files\NotePager 32". This can be verified by right clicking on the shortcut, selecting the "Shortcut" tab, and looking at the "Target" path.
The folder "C:\Program Files\NotePager 32" should also contain the "NPRDial.exe" file.
Occasionally people will drag and drop the actual "NotePager.exe" file to the desktop, thinking a shortcut has been created.
If this is the case, you should move/copy the file back into "C:\Program Files\NotePager 32".
Then create a shortcut pointing to "C:\Program Files\NotePager 32\NotePager.exe"

| make sure your not connected to the internet whilst trying to send messages, Notepage will not be able to dial otherwise
