How long will Verizon keep their free TAP service available?

Does anyone know how long the free anonymous Verizon TAP service will remain active? It looks like Verizon is one of the only carriers left that has this service... and I don't imagaine it will be around forever.

Does anyone have any information regarding this?

They have already ceased support for it and are ONLY supporting their Enterprise Messaging version. The existing (free) modem's are being removed as they encounter difficulties. In other words, they are not actively looking to shut them down, they are just not repairing or replacing them as they have issues.

Actually, I just received this from Verizon:

Verizon plans to end free TAP messaging in 2013, but it will continue to be available with the paid EMAG service.
