We have some users on the carrier Corr Wireless. The carrier informed us to start using the domain name @sms.corrwireless.com for SMTP pages. Page Gate doesn't seem to be able to resolve a mail server for this domain regardless of what DNS server I try. However, if I use NSLookup I can resolve their MX record with no problem from the same server.
The log looks like

Are you delivering directly using public DNS or are you delivering through a relay server? If a relay server, is that domain on the allowed list?_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

Can you telnet to that server from the server hosting PageGate:
Open a command prompt and type
telnet sms.corrwireless.com 25

| yes, I can telnet to their mail server on port 25 with no problems. The problem seems to be resolving the MX record inside of page gate.....

| I believe this is an issue with the PageGate Mail Server and am currently running some tests to confirm. I'll make a follow up post with more information once the tests are complete and I've had a chance to file a bug report on this. |
