|
|
I am having a strange issue sending text pages out to Verizon phones setup using SMTP. The device is receiving 2 text pages at the same time. We have ATT phones also setup using SMTP but they are only receiving 1 original page. Can't figure out with this is happening with my Verizon devices.

Hmm... that's odd. Are you using the PageGate Client to send the messages? |

I have sent them from the pagegate interface (clicking user and selecting send page) also by using our web interface..... As far as I can tell ATT and Verizon are set the same, SMTP, same port number...etc..

... this is very, very odd.
Can you email me the pgdialX.log files from the c:\pagegatedata\logs\ folder on the server and give me the date/time of one of the duplicated Verizon messages? |

Are you sending the message(s) to a group of groups? I have seen this when a message is sent to 2 groups and a particular recipient is a member of both groups. Like Tech Support mentioned, the PGDialX logs will clearly show if this is the case_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

Okay, I had a chance to look at your log and replied with a more detailed response via email but I also wanted to follow up with a post here. From what I can see, each transaction was only completed once to your Mail Server. Basically, PageGate is handing the mail server 1 copy of the message to send. The mail server is then delivering 2 copies and I don't know why it would. |

Well, if you would, please email all of the .log files from the PageGate Logging folder (check the Admin under Program - Settings, if you're not sure which directory PageGate is logging to) to support at notepage dot com |
