|
|
Hello,
I am trying to use a MultiModem GPRS Wireless Modem Device from Multi Tech systems:
model: MTCBA-G-U-F4
Serial #: 5002043W
SKU#: 92502765LF
IMEI: 011204000020433
And I was just wondering if it is compatible with Notepager Pro? I do the search for modem and it goes past the com port that it is on (COM6 - I know this because TerraTerm picks it up on that port), all the drivers are installed and it says that it is working fine, but it does not pick it up.
Thanks,
Andrew

Your issue is the Windows USB - Com port driver. We install the RS232 version of that modem with NotePager Pro to eliminate that problem. The USB versions of the device do, however, work with PageGate (the network variant of NotePager Pro)._________________ Aaron D. Osgood

I have installed PageGate and played around with it and the settings and such, I am unable to get it to recognize this device as a modem. I click scan and it scans all of the COM ports and detects nothing; I'm at a loss.

As I said - PLEASE send your direct contact info - Using PageGate with the device you have chosen is easily accomplished, but not out of the box_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

We are still experiencing this problem connecting to the GSM modem through the software. We have proved that the modem is working when connected to our Windows Server 2003 machine, by connecting to it via the serial port and sending commands to it like that.
Is anyone available to do a remote access session to try and get this working? We have a Juniper SSL VPN which allows remote access sessions over secure connection, and that would be ideal for troubleshooting.
Many thanks...
