We have PageGate, version 4. We are attempting to make use of the GetAscii feature, but have been running into two problems.
Problem one is the service randomly stops working. It will often work for several days in a row, but then the service stops. Sometimes it will only run for a few hours before it stops.
Problem two is that one needs to go into each user and enable the getascii feature on their profile. the problem is, when you get out of one person's profile, and enter another, if you go back to the first user, getascii has been unchecked.
As long as you do not go into another user's profile, the getascii check box will stay checked. As soon as you go into another profile, it is disabled.
Any ideas how to correct these problems?

If you go into the Registration section of the PageGate Admin, is GetAscii checked in the upper right hand corner? From the sound of it, you've either exceeded the user license and need to up your user limit or you need to purchase the GetAscii module. |

Thank you for your response.
We have a 5000 user license, currently using about 400. I am told that we purchased the complete package, which should include the getascii module, however, the getascii checkbox in the registration section is not checked and does not allow me to mark it.
How would I find out if we are supposed to have that module?

To determine if PageGate was supposed to have that module, how was the software originally ordered by your organization?
Upgrade PageGate's GetAscii or Commandline/ASCII Interface for $50.00, and PageGate version 4 to version 5 for $100.00 at http://www.notepage.net/upgrades.htm
New features, download a free trial of PageGate v5 software (2 recipients enabled and restart every 3-5 days) and upgrade instructions at http://www.notepage.net/pagegate-v5.htm. The upgraded v5 Registration Key is needed to fully register PageGate v5 software.
