Use PageGate's GetAscii or Commandline/ASCII Interface to integrate or communicate with prtg.

Here's what you'll want to do:

1) Open the PageGate Admin.

2) Expand the Connectors section.

3) Expand Connector 1.

4) Left click on the Settings under Connector 1.

5) Set the "Serial Port" field to match your device's COM port.

6) Click on Apply.

7) Right click on the Carriers section.

8) Left cilck on Add.

9) Set the protocol to: GSMAT

10) Set the baud rate, data bits, parity, and stop bits to match your device's requirements. These can be obtained from the manufacturer's documentation but the industry standard is 9600, none, 8, and 1.

11) Left click on Apply.

Type : Normal
Carrier : Name of carrier
Failover: none
ID/PIN: cell phone who is gonna get the TXT msg
max chars: 6000
Notify code: 900
And when i tried to send a txt message to the recipient to test it, it says Message(s) are queued for delivery.

Thanks

If you run the PageGate Monitor, are Server, Scheduler, and Connectors in green or red?

Connector 1 being red is why your messages aren't going out. That's the part of the program that actually does the sending. If you go into the Program - Settings section of the PageGate Admin, what do you have checked under "Run on this server" ?

Okay... we'll need to change that. You only want Scheduler, GetAscii, and Connector 1 checked.

After you make that change, try to send out a test message. If it doesn't go through, please email this file: c:\pagegatedata\logs\pgdial1.log to support at notepage dot com.

I've replied to the email you sent in but to address this post, that sounds like a COM port mismatch between PageGate and the device. If you would, go into your Control Panel in Windows and go into the Phone and Modem Options.

Once there, go under the Modems tab and make a note of the COM port that Windows has assigned to the cellular device.

With that, open the PageGate Admin and go to the Connectors - Connector 1 - Settings. Set the "Serial Port" field to match the COM port of your device, make sure direct connect is NOT checked, and click on Apply.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your Verizon PC5750 MAY NOT support direct COM port commands. A test would be to use HyperTerminal (or PuTTY) to attempt communication with the device.
