|
|
I have an old modem I want to use as a backup (which I used for Notepager Pro before).
Can't find an init string that will make it work with PageGate 5.0 on my existing page server. I tried all the stock inits & "auto", none seem to do the trick.
It's a US Robotics, Sportster 33.6 Fax modem, w/ DB9 cable to comm port.
PageGate will detect on modem scan & it will dial up.
I have the log file from attempts also.

Phil,
If you would, let me know what baud rate, data bits, parity and stop bits you're using and what you're connecting to (TAP Terminal, Zetron unit, etc).
then, if you would, reset the init string to (auto) and try to send out a message. Then send me the connector log to support at notepage dot com. |

According to the log file you sent, the modem is working properly?
I can see where it picked up the line, dialed the terminal, connected, negotiated the connection, initiated the protocol, delivered the message, then hung up. |
