I cannot get a second connector to start. I created a new Carrier for SNPP and added that carrier to Connector 2, but I can not start Connector 2. I've even rebooted the server to try and get it to start, but no luck.

Thanks in advance!

There are two things you want to check. First, go to the Registration section of the PG Admin and check to make sure that you're licensed for at least two connectors.

Second, go to the Program - Settings section of the PG Admin and make sure that Connector 2 is checked under the "Run on this server" section.

Aw. We are only allowed 1 connector. How do we get 2 connectors?

Or is there a way that we can run 2 carriers SMTP and SNPP from 1 connector?

Upgrade PageGate's Connector 2 or an Additional Connector for $100.00 at http://www.notepage.net/upgrade-order-forms.htm
(uncheck any unnecessary options).

Each connector in the program can handle every protocol, you don't need a new connector for each protocol.

All you have to do is disable connector 2 and set Connector 2's dedicated carrier to None.

Then, go into the settings of Connector 1 and make sure that its Dedicated Carrier is also set to None.

That tells the program that Connector 1 should handle all traffic generated in the program, regardless of the carrier and protocol.

Use Additional Connectors for dedicating to a single carrier, delivery efficiency and multiple outbound connections.

I cannot get 2 connectors to start. My registration says I am allowed 2 connectors. From "Program Settings: Run on this computer", when I try to select two connectors simultaneously, I am prompted for credentials. I cannot respond to the prompt in a way which allows 2 connectors to be active.

I had been using 1 connector and I bought another connector for $100. I entered the new registration key and it says I am registered for 2 connectors. I can start one or the other but I cannot start both at once.

When you modify the "Run on this server" section and click on Apply, Windows asks PageGate for Credentials so it can create the new system service for Connector 2. You should be able to leave the credentials blank and click on Apply to have it use the default System Account for the new service.

I have left the credential login dialog box empty and I have entered the system admin credentials. I always get the "Fail" message.

As odd as it may sound, try enabling the connector, then switching the run style to an application.

After it finishes switching the run style to an Application, switch it right back to Windows Service, leave the credentials blank and click on apply and it should allow it to go through.

It may have sounded odd, but it worked. Thank you.
